Nowadays there are many pages on the Internet about the server.met. But only a few users actually know that you can use eMule without a server.met, too: the Kademlia network is helping here.
But if you still don't want to miss your server.met-file you can download a recent version from us - fast and easy. You can even update your server.met from here automatically !
The download of the server.met file:
Either you can download the server.met here and paste it manually to your eMule or you type the following URL in the update-window of eMule (see picture) and press "Update" afterwards:
http://server-met.emulefuture.de/download.php?file=server.met
After that you klick on "Update" and your eMule will load a handful servers which become visible in the server window.
If eMule is installed on your PC just click on "Add eMule-Server"
The updating of your server.met file:
Click on "Options" and choose the category "Servers". In the second picture you can see on the right side a category called "Update". Here you deactivate the following options:
- Get servers from connected servers
- Get servers from connected clients
Important information:
If you leave these options activated you'll get many fake- and spy-servers in your list which aren't useful or can even be extremly harmful for you ! Therefore you should visit approved pages regulary for server.met-updates and don't activate these funktions..
